Crude salt production and import increased in October

2020, China's crude salt output was 6.916 million tons, an increase of 5.1% year-on-year; from January to October, the crude salt output was 45.297 million tons, a cumulative decrease of 0.4% year-on-year. The main reasons for the increase of crude salt production in October are the expansion of salt raking area in the sea salt production area in autumn and the improvement of mineral salt enterprises.
 
     
 
According to the latest customs data, in October 2020, China's crude salt import volume was 595600 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 6.14%; in October, the crude salt export volume was 65900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.82%. From January to October, China's crude salt import volume was 4.6815 million tons, down 28.18% year-on-year; the export volume of crude salt was 322900 tons, down 27.89% year-on-year.
